DesignWare HDMI TX and RX Controller and PHY IP

Overview

DesignWare® HDMI Transmitter (TX) and Receiver (RX) IP solutions provide the necessary logic to implement and verify designs for various consumer electronic applications. The IP solutions include a suite of configurable HDMI digital controllers, high-speed mixed-signal PHY IP, and associated software and drivers, providing a comprehensive solution from a single IP vendor. Synopsys’ DesignWare HDMI IP solutions lower integration risk by ensuring that all the IP functions work seamlessly together, and provide designers with a high-performance solution that offers extremely low power and small area.

The DesignWare HDMI IP solutions are fully compliant to the HDMI specifications and have gone through extensive in-house and third-party interoperability testing. With multiple design wins and products shipping in volume, Synopsys’ expertise in developing and supporting HDMI IP enables SoC designers to accelerate time-to-market and achieve silicon success for their advanced HDMI solutions.

Synopsys also provides a dual mode solution that supports HDMI and Mobile High-Definition Link (MHL) operations and is optimized for area and BOM cost. The silicon-proven dual mode solution also simplifies software and driver development efforts for seamless system integration and faster time-to-market.
