Design of Embedded Vision Processors

Embedded vision applications are applications that extract meaning from visual input by using a computer vision algorithm implemented on an embedded system. A computer vision application is typically sophisticated and quite diverse with parallel and specialized input such as 2D or 3D cameras and image sensors. It requires a high performance computation engine with high memory bandwidth. To run such a computation intensive algorithm on an embedded device demands low power consumption as a key requirement.
