For SCL 10.x, Synopsys recommends single (not redundant) license
servers with the following system hardware & configuration:
A recent Solaris UltraSPARC 64-bit license server running
- Solaris 9 or 10
- Multiple CPUs or cores
- 1 GHz CPU speed or better
- 1 GB of RAM (4 GB for a non-dedicated server)
- 1 Gbit Ethernet network card & switch
- adequate soft file descriptors (typically 8192)
- Note:
- Non-Solaris platforms are supported, but
are recommended only for small quantities of licenses.

IMPORTANT:
SCL 10.9.3 does not incorporate the synplctyd daemon (this daemon is included with Synplicty tools). For a list of daemons supported by SCL,

SCL 10.9.3 (snpslmd) incorporates support for the sandwork daemon on all 64-bit platforms except for aix64. However, the following 32-bit SCL binaries do not support the sandwork daemon: hp32, rs6000, sparcOS5, x86sol32.
