Synopsys’ DesignWare Data Converter IP portfolio consists of analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), digital-to-analog converters (DACs), auxiliary converters, video DACs (VDACs) and analog front-ends (AFEs), and is based on state-of-the-art architectures, including the parallel Successive Approximation Register (SAR). The pre-validated, high-performance, compact and low-power data converter IP is available in leading foundry processes from 180-nm to 28-nm. With the IP, designers can integrate critical functionality in their SoCs and meet the analog front-end interface requirements, while lowering BOM cost and minimizing integration risks. The 12-bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters deliver fast conversation rates up to 320 MSPS and 640 MSPS respectively, and the companion PLL delivers 3 GHz low clock jitter.
