In the automotive industry, a lot of testing is done in the area of hardware-in-the-loop: the software must work on the target ECU in the vehicle. TPT as a test automation solution from model-in-the-loop via software-in-the-loop to hardware-in-the-loop supports customers worldwide to test their software product solutions consistently.

Easy HiL with ASAM XiL

In TPT 18 we have implemented some extensive new features to further simplify the challenges of hardware-in-the-loop testing. With the implementation of Model Access (MA), Electrical Error Simulation (EES) and Diagnostic (Diag) of the ASAM XiL API you can now solve more hardware specific challenges. We have partially implemented the ECU Calibration and Measurement (ECUC/ECUM) of the ASAM XiL API for the use of the new Simulink Real-Time connection.

The ASAM XIL is an API standard for the communication between test automation tools and test benches. It is one of many technical enablers to separate hardware and software development cycles by decoupling software from real and virtual test systems. Reuse of test cases on different test systems is thus easier.

Our data mapping mechanisms allow you to execute test cases in MiL/Sil and HiL. Via Back-2-Back Test you get the certainty that your software also works on the target hardware. The connection is robust and future-proof via the standard.

With the new features implemented in TPT18 you can now easily extend your functional tests with diagnostic tests (e.g. read measured values, actuator test).
