Automotive Regulation Update 148-01 and 149-01

Description

In recent years, the UN ECE automotive lighting regulations have undergone major changes.For example, the ECE regulation R149 was created to combine the multitude of headlamp regulations including:

• R19 Front Fog Lamp Class B and F3
• R98 HID specific headlamps Class D
• R112 Headlamps with filament lamps or LED modules – Class A and B
• R113 Motorcycle Beam
• R119 Cornering Light
• R123 AFS Class C, E, V, W

The new version R149-01 continues to consolidate the definitions to make the regulation source independent and modifies the required road illumination.
